Every now and then, even the biggest companies make a stupid move, but I can honestly say it’s been a while since I’ve seen anything quite this bad. First American Title Insurance held a webinar last month to teach their agents that the closing experience when buying a home is somehow different for African-Americans because of cultural differences. The first thing that First American needs to do is visit Amazon and pick up a copy of Webster’s Dictionary so they can learn that race and culture are two very different things. The second thing they need to do is exercise a little common sense the next time they prepare an email marketing campaign.
