Most sane people don’t get excited about going to work each day. They often find themselves day dreaming about enjoying the freedom that starting their own company could bring. Getting away from the office politics, obnoxious bosses and stale coffee is just an added bonus.
The problem is that most people don’t go any further than their day dreams. They may cite a variety of reasons for not taking action, but in reality, it usually boils down to not having a quantifiable goal. Developing a goal lets you develop an action plan, brush away excuses, climb over obstacles and measure your success.
Maybe you’re one of the people who loves the idea of starting your own company, but you think you don’t have a marketable skill. Chances are you’re wrong. Almost everyone I’ve met has some unique skill that someone else would be willing to pay them for. Perhaps you are the person that all your friends come to for advice, which could translate into becoming a life coach. If you’ve always enjoyed writing, a your could start a professional copywriting firm. The idea at this point is just to figure out what skills you have that you enjoy. Don’t worry if you don’t see a way to make enough money with it yet, that comes next.
Let’s say you’ve decided that your goal is to become a life coach. Since you’re starting from scratch, your plan should be to build up your client base. If you can manage to land just one client each week and provide each client with just one hour of consulting each month, at an hourly rate of $75, you’ll be looking at $300 in revenue for your first month. That may not seem like much money, but if you keep at this modest pace of adding one client each week you’ll be generating $3,500 per month in just one year. This doesn’t even take into account the facts that some clients may want more than one hour of consulting each month, as your reputation grows you’ll probably land more than just one client each week through referrals. If you begin developing your own products to sell and seminars to attend in addition to offering your consulting services, your revenue can grow exponentially.
If you have a clear goal, it will be easier to develop an effective action plan and no matter what’s going on, you’ll be able to adjust your decisions and continue moving towards it. This doesn’t mean that starting a company will be easy, but with a plan, your chances of success are dramatically increased.

It is so hard to find a job that you love these days. I completely agree with this article, starting your own company can easily be the answer to all of your problems. I was looking into starting my own business and of course went to looking online.
