Most companies, especially the ones in the start-up phases, put off taking the little steps that could bring them closer to success because they want to wait until they can take the big steps.
The problem is, you rarely get the opportunity to make large advances. In the real world, success is more a matter of consistently moving toward a particular goal. If you we’re to look at the day to day activities of an average person compared to an extremely successful person, you wouldn’t see much of a difference, but over time, the extra work and focus of the successful person pays off. As time goes on, he develops an ever increasing supply of capital, experience, contacts and other resources that enable him to archive his goals more easily, quickly and efficiently than before.
The key difference is that the successful man used the resources he had available to take the next step, while the unsuccessful man keeps waiting for the stars to line up for that one perfect opportunity that he thinks will propel him to greatness.
Focus on making steady progress, learn from your mistakes, and work with what you have.
